Support Birth Center Equity

Every Birth Deserves Respect. Every Community Deserves Access.

Birth centers offer a powerful, community-rooted alternative that centers dignity, choice, and culturally respectful care. Birth Center Equity (BCE) is building a future where birth centers led by and for communities of color are no longer the exception—they are the norm.

What We Do

  • Fund birth centers led by Black, Indigenous, people of color.

  • Grow midwifery models nationwide.

  • Build a strong national network of mutual support and shared learning.

Birth Center Equity provides funding, infrastructure support, and community-building for BIPOC-led birth centers across the country. We invest in people, power, and place to make birth justice real.

Since 2020, we've supported over 60 birth centers and helped secure millions in investment for community birth.
